French manicure question?

I tried the kits at home and can never get a straight line with the white area. A friend suggested I try a white nail pencil and it works well.





What I am looking for now is the color that goes over the white - I want a pinky color, not a beige/tan color. Any suggestions? I don't want to buy a whole french manicure kit, just the top color.
