French Manicure Gel Nails?

I regularly get Frenh Manicure Gel nails about once every two weeks. I love it but Is there something better than Gel now?French Manicure Gel Nails?
BTW, I'm not trying to be repititious by saying the same old thing when discussing certain nail-related topics. But I am attempting to increase public awareness of some of the problems within the nail industry.

No there isn't anything better than gel at the moment. In my opinion, gel nails look more natural than acrylics, they won't yellow if they are made from top quality products, and they are non-toxic.They are also quite durabable. In short, they're a good choice for many women.

However, that holds true as long as they are real gel, and not acrylic nails. If you ask for gel nails, be absolutely certain that you are getting the real deal.

Its really quite simple to tell the difference between acrylic nails, and gel nails. This is what to look for: If the tech uses ANY liquid and powder on your nails, then they are not gel nails. They are acrylic nails. Also, Gel nails must be cured under a UV lamp for about two minutes for each layer of gel that is applied - usually two to three layers in all, which is typically followed by a UV sealer or topcoat which must also be cured as well. During the application of gel nails, liquid and powder is never used. Only gels are used. Also, traditional gels cannot be soaked off. Acrylics nails are soaked off, not gel nails.

Sad but true, there are many unsuspecting girls who are led to believe that they are getting gel nails, but they really aren't. Its unfortunate, but it happens all the time. This is because they assume they are getting gel nails, but in reality they are not. They are many times getting regular nails with a UV topcoat applied to make it seem like they are gel. They aren't getting what they paid for - gel nails. For anyone who may be not know what real gel looks like, take a look at the pic by clicking on the link below. This is an example of the real thing. Gel containers should always be clearly labeled by the manufacturer similar to the way these gels are labeled. An unlabeled container is always cause for concern even with acrylic nails, and if that happens, always tell the tech that you want to see the original container. If they cannot show it to you, or if they refuse to show it to you, then leave that salon, and never go back. Seriously. If this happens, they are obviously trying to hide something, and it usually means that they are using MMA products on you. MMA has been banned for use on nails for over 20 years now. Anyway here is the pic of real gel, in case you may be interested (They are available in many different colors, BTW):
