French manicure, what comes first?

are you supposed to apply the white tip polish to your nails before the other colours? that seems silly and backward to me, but thats what i keep reading on the internet. how do you do it, and why is it supposed to be like that?French manicure, what comes first?
You do the white tips first so you can clean them up to make them neat before applying your top coat.

If you did the white tips first then it would look really messy if you made a mistake.

The nail salons use a very clever method to make sure the tips are neat.

They brush the tips with two coats of white polish, then dip a flat/straight end paint brush in nail polish remover and clean the inner edges to make a neat line and thin the line if it is too thick.

Once the tips are perfect they paint two coats of clear or tinted polish over the entire nail, including the tips, which protects the white varnish from chipping and getting dirty.French manicure, what comes first?
the white part chips off easily
you paint ur whole nail a light pink then add a second coat wait until it dries and then then you use the little strips

put one on each nail and paint along the natural curve of ur nail

wait until they dry and then remove the strip
yes..if you are doin a white tip and clear polish..but if you have white tips on colors other than clear..then do it last..don't forget to cover it with clear polish so it will last longer
Color first, then the white. This is the correct way
this is what i do

1st=remove any nail polish

2nd=get materials(tape,whitepolish,clearpolish)

3rd=put tape on nails so u can polish the white tip

4th=take off tape(polish should be even)

5th=last,polish nails with clear
